In preparation for my holiday in just over a week’s time (eeek!), I decided to pick up some last minute beauty bits that I wanted to see me through my week travelling across Italy. There were a few Body Shop skincare bits that I’d had my eye on for a while, so I decided to take the plunge and get them.
Thankfully, I LOVED everything that I picked up and can’t wait to share them with you. Here’s what I picked up:
I’ve had my eye on this since I first saw Gabriella Lindley using this in a make-up tutorial a few months ago. What really surprised me was that it is a moisturiser containing SPF50! Its really hard to find an affordable moisturiser with a high SPF count, so I was super impressed when I picked this 40ml bottle up for £16.
Whats more, It doesn’t break me out! I have incredibly sensitive/acne prone skin and this moisturiser doesn’t irritate it at all. I use this underneath my make-up in the morning and it creates a fantastic base for make-up too. I’ll definitely be repurchasing this, without a doubt.
I seriously can’t rave about this mud mask enough. If you suffer with acne-prone skin, like myself, then you’ll love this. This mask, along with the others in the range, targets acne and blemishes and is jam-packed with the right ingredients to do so. The ingredients include: bamboo charcoal, green tea leaves and organic tea tree oil. And to top that off, its also 100% Vegan with no nasty bits like parabens, paraffin, silicone or mineral oils!
I originally picked this mask up to fix my blemish-ridden skin before my holiday. Lets be real, nobody wants to look back at their holiday photos and see giant, angry, red spots glaring back at them! Luckily, this mask has been helping me out on that front. Once its on, it creates a cold, refreshing sensation on this skin as it works its magic. Then after 10 minutes, I simply wet my fingers under the tap and begin massaging my face to take it off. As well as the useful ingredients in the mask, the texture doubles up and helps to exfoliate the skin too! I’ve never used anything like it, and it works a treat. Even though this was bought in prep for my holiday, we all know that it will be coming in my suitcase with me too!
It seems like everybody is jumping on the cocktail-flavoured bandwagon this summer, but cocktail-scented cosmetics; now that’s a bandwagon that I definitely want to be on! I was in need of a new body wash to take with me on holiday. I was browsing through the extensive collections of body washes that The Body Shop stock, and stumbled across this gem! Nothing says holiday spirit like a cocktail-scented body wash. I just couldn’t say no.
Also, the scent is really resembles the one of a Virgin Mojito (minus the alchohol!) which was really surprising. Usually when you purchase scented products such as body washes, you expect the artificial, manufactured scent. However this body wash is surprisingly true to the taste; yummy! Its like rubbing your favourite cocktail all over your body…in a non-weird way…if thats possible?
Have you tried any of these products? Let me know your thoughts in the comments section below, I’d love to hear from you.
