January Beauty Favorites

One month down, 11 more to go! 2018 is already off to a quick start.

I don’t know about you, but January basically came and left without me realizing it. Before I knew it, I was heading (completely unprepared) into February! Although January was short and sweet for me, I did manage to try out some new products that I fell in love. Here are the products that I discovered and loved throughout January.

January Labs Restorative Tonic Mist// £18

My skin was becoming awfully dry due to the typical cold, wet, and miserable British weather around this time of year. I was in dyer need of every bit of moisture that I could find hidden in my beauty stash. This little gem has been working wonders for me. I like to spritz some of this onto my face after cleansing and before any heavy moisturizers. It’s helps give my skin an added bit of hydration that my gel cleanser may have stripped away. On colder days, I also like to spritz it over top of my make-up to freshen it up and add a little hydration if I’m noticing my foundation clinging to any dry patches. It’s definitely an unsung hero!

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand// £29

I purchased this after hearing Lily from ‘Pint-Sized Beauty’ raving about them on her Instagram stories. I’d been on the hunt for the perfect liquid highlighter for my skin-tone for a while. Being a pale girl an all, it can be difficult to find a highlighter that doesn’t look like a zebra streak on your face. After seeing her swatch this one, I instantly fell in love and needed it in my make-up bag ASAP. The consistency is very creamy making it so easy to blend into the skin for a natural glow. You can dress it down for more causal minimal make-up days or add a little more for a night out. It’s my current go-to highlighter and I don;t plan on switching it out any time soon.

Clinique ‘Take The Day Off’ Balm//£24

Seriously, I don’t know how I’ve survived this long without this product in my life. It’s a game changer. If your a lazy guy or gal who want almost instantaneous make-up removal and a hydrating cleanser in one, this is the one. I mean, who doesn’t want that? It’s a creamy, unfragranced balm that dissolves your make-up in a matter of seconds leaving your skin smooth and hydrated. It’s definitely ‘up there’ in terms of the price point, but for quality it’s worth every penny. After discovering this, micellar water and wet wipes are just a distant memory!

NUXE Lip Moisturizing Stick//£6

Although it’s not as glamorous as the other favorites mentioned, it’s been one of the most practical of them all. The cold month of January has really taken it’s toll on my lips. It’s left my lips dry, cracked, and in need of some serious hydration. I’d spent a lot of time scouting through blogs and reviews on sites for the most hydrating lip balms and this one was a repeat offender. I know that their lip balm in the pot form is a cult product, but I’m not a huge fan of lip balms that come in tub form. I wanted something that was a little more sanitary and a little less messy; this one fit the bill perfectly. It’s infused with hydrating ingredients such as honey and sunflower oil that leave your lips plump, soft, and comfortably hydrated. It’s found a permanent home in my handbag now.
