October Favourites

October Favourites

It’s that time again, folks! October you’ve been swell, but I’m so ready for Novemeber (which is my birthday month, FYI). I’m ready for those colder mornings, shorter days, and gigantic scarves that double up as blankets! I know everybody says this in their favourite’s posts, but seriously, where has the year gone? We are only 2 month away from 2018, seriously, how has this happened?

Anyway, I don’t usually do favourite’s posts. Its not for lack of want either; I just don’t switch up my products very often once I’ve found my dearly beloved’s that I cannot be without. What can I say? I like my comfort zone. But this month I feel like I’ve ventured out of that comfort zone a little and tried some pretty awesome products. Lets see what I’ve been loving for the month of October:

CoLab Dry Shampoo

I’m keeping it real here: I’m a busy gal who doesn’t wash her hair everyday. AIN’T NOBODY GOT TIME FO’ DAT. And thats why dry shampoo is every busy bee’s (or lazy gal’s) BFF. My absolute favourite is the Batiste Brunette Dry Shampoo, but since Superdrug were fresh outta that one, and momma needed to get rid of that oil, I picked up the CoLab Dry Shampoo in the original scent.

I’m skeptical when it comes to trying out new dry shampoos. I think that we all live in fear of the dreaded ‘white powdered scalp’ situation which just isnt cute at all. But after trying this one, I was shook. It’s pretty darn good! It left no awful white residue, wasn’t thick and clumpy in my hair, and to top it off, it smells DI-VINE. I strongly urge CoLab to bring out their own perfumes or body sprays in this scent becuse I would totally buy this. I’m really excited to try the other dry shampoo’s in their collection; hopefully they smell and feel just as good!

Glossier Super Pure Serum

I picked this bad boy up in my first Glossier Haul and gave a brief first impression of it. This is a product that I quickly fell in love with and am still loving now. Its a serum geared toward us blemish-prone souls who suffer with redness and blemishes on the daily. It helps to sooth the skin, calm redness and prevent further breakouts; and it does everything that ti claims to do. After suffering with acne for over a year now, this was one of the only products that has helped to reduce it. I apply it morning and night and it feels so soft and moistruising on the skin; I can’t be without it now.

Glossier Boy Brow

You shouldn’t be surpised at the fact that there is another Glossier product in my favoruites; I know I’m not. They’re all just so darn good that I can’t help myself, ok! Like Super Pure, Boy Brow is another product that I instantly fell in love with. Its a tinted brow gel that helps to fill in, colour, and shape your eyebrows perfectly. I have mine in the shade ‘Light’ which was a pretty good match for me. I was a huge fan of the Benefit ‘Gimmie Brow’ and have repurchased it for years, however Boy Brow has quickly become my new ‘go-to’ this past month. The forumla is less clumpy, the brush applicator is a lot easier to work with, and the price point is lower than ‘Gimmie Brow’ (which is always a plus). Its a win-win situation really; move over boys, Boy Brow is the new kid on the block.

Glossier ‘You’ Perfume

One more, I promise! If you made a Glossier order around the time that they launched in the UK, then you would have recieved a small sample of their brand new perfume, ‘You’. I don’t think I was ready to love this as much as I do. This scent quickly grew on me and has rapidly become my ‘go-to’ perfume at the moment. Its a subtle, musky scent that smells like male cologne tailored for women. Its such a unique scent and I’m so in love! I’m having to use it super sparingly as the perfume isn’t even out yet! But oh boy¬† when it does come out you bet I’ll be ordering myself a bottle!

Rimmel Nail Polish in ‘Naked Class’

Nowadays with university, work, and running my own business, I barely find time to sit down and paint my nails anymore. However this month, I’ve been living in this gorgeous shade by Rimmel as part of their ‘Fifty Shades of Gray’ Collection with Rita Ora. Its a beautiful, muted lilac with a hint of gray running through it. It’s been perfect as an everyday colour for me but can easily be dressed up with the right outfit. Its a real versatile colour that I know I’m going to get so much wear out of this winter.

Have you tried any of these products too?

With Love,
