Valentine’s Day Make-Up Edit

Valentine’s Day Make-Up Edit

Whether you’re a friend or foe of Valentine’s Day, there’s no denying that Feb 14th is right around the corner. As well as celebrating with my loved ones, I like to use this day as an excuse for a bit of personal pampering and TLC. And for me, this always starts at my vanity table. Here are some of my favorite Valentine’s Day make-up picks that I use when I want to show my face some serious love.

Flawless Skin//

Nothing makes me feel more confident than flawless skin. When my skin looks good, I feel good. But for the days when my skin isn’t looking too hot on its own, the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation comes to the rescue. It’s lightweight formula covers everything from redness to scarring leaving my skin looking airbrushed and flawless. It’s perfect for special occasions or whenever you want your skin to look tip-top.

Glow//

Adding a natural golden glow is my favorite way for achieving healthy looking skin. Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Beauty Light Wand in ‘Spotlight’ is perfect for this. It’s liquid consistency blends seamlessly into the skin to create that gorgeous ‘glowing from within’ vibe that i’m all about. For me, less highlighter is always more so I like to add a little touch of it onto the high points of my face for a subtle glow.

Red Lips//

What would Valentine’s Day be without a good red lip? There’s no denying the power and confidence you feel when your’re sporting your perfect shade of red. For that traditional Valentine’s Day red, I’ve opted for the Borjouis Rouge Edition Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick. It’s the perfect shade of red and the staying power is IN-SANE. This liquid lipsticks does not budge. Even after eating, drinking, and kissing *hint hint*, the colour stays just as vibrant as the moment you applied it.

For a deeper, more sultry Valentine’s Day Vibe, my go-to is MAC’s ‘Amorous’ . It’s a deeper, vampy shade of red with a subtle hint of berry. This shade really compliments subtle brown smokey eyes and a sharp winged eyeliner.

Neutral Eyes//

The eyes will be kept neutral so that they don’t draw any attention away from the bold, red lips. I’ve been loving the neutral shades in the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette for creating a simple, sultry eye look. I like to lightly blend ‘Milk Chocolate’, ‘Salted Caramel’, and ‘Semi-Sweet’ into my crease and add a tiny pop of ‘Amaretto’ to the outer corner for a hint of burgundy. For a bit of glitz, I might also apply a small amount of the Charlotte Tilbury highlighter to my inner corner for that wider, doe-eyed look.
